Published figures, held against what follows
Institutions publish projections, estimates, and successive versions of their own record. Countability preserves every vintage of each one — and, where a question can settle, holds it against whatever later evidence settles it — without ever adjudicating who was right.
A Resolution record holds one institution's own published figures for a single, specific quantity — a projection, an estimate, or a measured record — across every vintage in which that institution restated it. Each time an issuer publishes a new budget, report, or release, an earlier figure does not disappear from the record; it is preserved exactly as it was first published, dated and cited, alongside the newer one.
A later vintage differs from an earlier one only because the issuer chose to restate its own number — with more recent information, a new fiscal update, or a changed outlook — never because the earlier figure was deleted or silently corrected. Every vintage stays on the record, permanently.
Resolution happens when an authoritative outcome — an audited result, a finalized statistical release — becomes available to compare the projections against. Until that happens, a lineage is open: it shows how an institution's own estimate has moved over time, and nothing more. Countability does not shorten that wait, invent an outcome, or treat the most recent projection as if it were the answer.
Not every lineage is waiting on an outcome. Some hold projections that a future audited result will settle; some already hold a settled outcome beside positions that remain open; and some preserve a measured record — an official series or an issuer's own successive estimates — where nothing is pending, but how the numbers moved between versions is itself the evidence. The register below groups the lineages by exactly that state, and each page says plainly which kind it is.
This page never says which vintage was closer to right, grades an institution's forecasting record, or ranks issuers against each other. It states what was published, when, and how the numbers compare — the same record any reader could reconstruct from the same public sources.
